March Beauty Wish List

For as long as I can remember, Spring to me has symbolised newness, and so what better way to celebrate the start of the season of all things new than with a beauty wish list, packed with products to get you through the coming months, and beyond.

Beauty wish list march 2017Charlotte Tiblury Matte Revolution in Pillow Talk – £24.00, Zoeva Cosmetics 129 Luxe Fan brush – £10.50, Nars Laguna Bronzing Power – £29.00,  Nars Orgasm Blush – £23.00, L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Matte Addiction Lipstick in Greige Perfecto, Mahogany Studs and Erotique , Becca Luminous Skin Perfector in Moonstone  £34.00 and Violet Voss Laura Lee palette – £43.00.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick

Ever since I first started watching YouTube and reading blogs, Charlotte Tilbury’s ‘Pillow Talk’ lip liner has been on my radar. I barely ever use lip liner, I’m 1. too forgetful, and 2. too lazy to add another product into my daily routine and so splurging on one just wasn’t sensible.

Enter the Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk. Time to start justifying a £24 lipstick to my bank balance.

Zoeva Cosmetics 129 Luxe Fan Brush

Currently, I use a Real Techniques Setting Brush to apply my highlight, and it works pretty well but I’ve always wanted a fan brush but never picked on up. I love Zoeva eye shadow palettes, I find them really good quality and fantastic value so I think branching out into their brushes is going to be my next step.

I think this simple, black and silver fan brush looks really classy and expensive so for £10.50, I really can’t grumble!

Nars Powders

I recently tried a sample of both Orgasm and Laguna in my Feel Unique pick’n’mix box, which by the way if you haven’t tried, I completely recommend.

You’ll know if you read my last post that I’m incredibly loyal to my Benefit Hoola, but, having heard constant great things about Nars’ Laguna, I leapt at the chance to grab a free sample. It’s not as dark as Hoola and contains a slight gold shimmer but I fell in love straight away. Perfect for when I don’t have a tan (most of the time), or, for when I’m going for a slightly less ‘full on’ look. With a £29 price tag, it’s not as easy on the purse string as Hoola so I’ll be adding it to my birthday list this year I think.

Nars Orgasm is another much-hyped, iconic Nars product and I can completely see why. I loved the rosy glow that this gave to my cheeks and I found that there was just the right amount of shimmer for everyday wear. I’m getting back into blush after a period of leaving it out of my daily routine so it looks like this is another product for the birthday wish list.

L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Matte Addiction Lipsticks

I think you’ll be well aware by now that I am a sucker for a nude lip… I recently found 6 varying shades in my handbag at once… L’Oréal’s whole Color Riche Matte Addiction Lipstick collection looks beautiful, I love the packaging and the shade range is fab, but I know I’ll get tonnes of use out of nudes so I always tend to gravitate towards those first. If I love the formula of a lip product, I’ll often brand out into reds, pinks and purples after testing the nude shades for a while.

These 3 stood out to me from the range, and I love all of the names. My nails are painted ‘Greige’ 99% of the time and so immediately I was attracted to this nudey-peach shade. Mahogany Studs reminds me a lot of Topshop’s matte lipstick in Mink, but I don’t get on with the formula so I’m hoping that this will be a true matte, long lasting lippy. And lastly, Erotique, a beautiful pinky nude, perfect for spring!

Becca Luminous Skin Perfector

No matter how many face masks I do, no matter how much exfoliating I do, no matter how well I look after my skin, it’s dull, grey and lack lustre. I currently use No.7’s Skin Illuminator underneath my foundation most days to add a natural glow and to stop my face from looking so flat and one dimensional. I’ve never actually purchased this product, I’ve been lucky enough to get the No7 Advent Calendar for the last few years and the Skin Illuminator is always in there.

Lily Melrose is one of my favourite bloggers/YouTubers, and she’s mentioned this product millions of times. It comes in quite a few shades including the iconic ‘Champagne Pop’ but Moonstone looks like the perfect nudey-peach to add some glow to my super dull skin.

Violet Voss Laura Lee Palette

And finally, the product that I’m seeing reviewed and swatched, EVERYWHERE at the moment. Full of burgundies, peachy pinks and warm toned browns, this palette has all of my day and night time looks covered. That being said, it’s the swatches of the green shade that have really caught my attention. I’ve never worn green eyeshadow in my life, and I probably never will, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t need some in my collection…maybe I’ll start with one that doesn’t cost £43.00…

Whats on your most recent beauty wish list? Are there any products that you think I’d love to try?
