As someone who’s still very new to blogging, I was thrilled to be nominated by the beautiful Alicia of Aesthetic Obsessed to take part in the Blogger Recognition Tag. With a lack of wifi, a crazy workload and a hectic lifestyle I’ve struggled to stick to a schedule recently so this tag is a great, easy way to get an extra blog post in!
This blog is long overdue. It’s Monday 6th February (as I write this) and 2017 is already going past in the blink of an eye. I know that it’s a bit late to still be rambling on about new years resolutions, but I’ve been thinking hard about what I want to change and achieve in 2017.
The last 12 months have been a rollercoaster and to say that I’ve grown up is an understatement. I’m over making resolutions that don’t last. I’m done with eating healthy for January then scoffing anything and everything for the rest of the year, and hitting the gym religiously for a month and then spending the next 11 finding the perfecting my TV watching position. I’m well aware that I’m a little late to the new year blog post party but I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to achieve across all areas of my life in the coming year.
For me, 2016 was full on, intense and at times, overwhelming, a total rollercoaster from start to finish. In order to set the best goals for myself to achieve in 2017, I want to reflect on the past 12 months, the highs and the lows, the good, and the bad. I’m splitting this post into two parts, that was then, and, this is now.

I cannot believe that September is over. And not just over, we’re half way through October… I literally have no clue where 2016 is going.
I’ve been MIA recently, there’s been so much going on and I’ve been lacking both confidence and motivation.
We all have those days when we endlessly scroll Instagram and Pinterest hoping to be inspired but looking for nothing in particular, right? During one of those scroll-athons I stumbled upon a splodge of hot pink paint with the words ‘BE THE GIRL WHO DECIDED TO GO FOR IT’ stamped over the top. Usually I save things to my camera roll for a day when I want to post on social media but my outfit hasn’t cut the mustard but for some reason, this quote struck a chord.
